ABOUT ME

Fun Stuff

Let’s be real: the typical weekly scheduling and project management tools feel outdated and so fucking corporate. And as someone with ADHD and a quad-right Variable in Human Design — AKA the most receptive, creative mental architecture — they never really worked for me anyway.

No matter which tactics I tried, I’d find myself completely forgetting about the calendar time blocks I created and just following the ebb and flow of my own energy. One day I’d feel energized to outline and film a bunch of content, then the next I’d be wondering where the inspiration went and how to get it back again.

In the process of building my business and suddenly being 100% in charge of my time after 10 years in the corporate world, I struggled immensely with how to organize my schedule so that my planning time — what I call CEO mode — effectively supported my hyperfocused ‘doing’ mode.

There are a few key things that changed how I approach my work and gave me back so much energy and time:

  1. Working with the daily planetary energy themes
  2. Planning my months around the phases of my menstrual cycle
  3. Incorporating my Human Design into my business model

In this post, I’m going to give you a rundown of #1 so you can try it for yourself. So, starting with the basics: in traditional astrology, the energy of the planet ruling the sunrise hour is carried through the day until sunset. In simple terms, this means that each day of the week holds specific energetic themes that you can tap into for more energy and increased focus.

By aligning your projects and activities with the daily themes, you can maximize your productivity and experience more ‘flow state’ with each of your tasks. I also find that dedicated specific days to specific projects just feels better for most people, as you’re no longer jumping between projects that require a totally different frame of mind (like intuitive creation vs analytical decision-making).

I share more about how I approach my week in this TikTok video.

If you’d like to try this out yourself, here’s how you can tap into the daily planetary energy to plan a more efficient, enjoyable week:

Sunday

Ruled by: The Sun

Energetic Themes: Vitality, confidence, leisure, leadership, self-expression, generosity

The Sun represents your core essence and life force. Sundays carry an energy of illumination and renewal, making it ideal for: relaxing, self-care, socializing, recharging, creative hobbies, setting intentions for the week ahead, and tuning into your deeper self.

I like to spend my Sundays disconnecting from social media, spending time in my garden or hanging at the beach, and journaling about my experiences during the past week. This creates a renewed sense of purpose and energy for the week ahead, and journaling helps me capture insights and ideas I might have otherwise missed.

Monday

Ruled by: The Moon

Energetic Themes: Emotional, intuitive, transition, flow, receptivity, being

The Moon rules your emotional landscape and intuitive knowing. Mondays carry an energy of sensitivity and transition, perfect for: planning the week ahead, meditation, rest, therapy, nurturing relationships, tuning into your energetic state, and journaling.

On Mondays, I typically map out my week based on my client workload, personal events, and my current offer focus (AKA what I’m selling and delivering on a seasonal basis). I rarely schedule calls or create content as the moon energy activates my 10th house Scorpio moon, making it an ideal time to ground my energy and focus on my big vision without interruption.

Tuesday

Ruled by: Mars

Energetic Themes: Assertive, driven, action-oriented, bold, competitive, courageous, energetic

Mars brings fire and forward momentum to your work. Tuesdays carry an energy of drive and determination, making it ideal for: CEO tasks, taking action, pursuing goals, working on difficult projects, fitness, leadership, and implementation.

Tuesdays are my CEO days; I focus my time on the work that requires decisive action, forward momentum, and leadership. This is when I address problems, make important decisions, and build the foundational systems that support my business growth. I also like to schedule calls with clients who are in need of more momentum, clear thinking, and decisive action.

Wednesday

Ruled by: Mercury

Energetic Themes: Analytical, communicative, fast, discerning, rational, information gathering

Mercury governs communication and intellectual pursuits. Wednesdays carry an energy of mental agility and expression, perfect for: speaking, communicating, studying, translating, hosting client calls or workshops, and creating content.

I dedicate Wednesdays to expressing and sharing knowledge — I schedule client calls, record podcast episodes, and write most of my content. Mercury’s energy supports clear communication and the articulation of complex ideas, so I love tapping into this energy to support my natal Mercury in Pisces.

Thursday

Ruled by: Jupiter

Energetic Themes: Expansion, abundance, growth, opportunity, wisdom

Jupiter brings optimism and possibilities. Thursdays carry an energy of growth and abundance, making it ideal for: learning, teaching, travel, abundance rituals, big-picture thinking, beginning new projects, spiritual pursuits.

I use Thursdays to focus on areas where I desire growth and expansion — launching new offers, hosting calls, and developing content plans. Jupiter’s energy is great for thinking bigger and connecting with opportunities for growth.

Friday

Ruled by: Venus

Energetic Themes: Connecting, charming, value-driven, sensual, relational, harmonious

Venus governs relationships and what you value. Fridays carry an energy of connection and appreciation, perfect for: CEO tasks, investing, community engagement, beauty rituals, relationships, socializing, and resolving conflicts.

On Fridays, I focus on nurturing relationships. This looks like checking in with clients, responding to community messages, spending time with loved ones, and wrapping up the week with a Venus ritual to call in more of her magnetic, harmonic power.

Note: Because I have a ‘night’ astrology chart — meaning I was born when the sun was down — Venus and Mars are the most benefic planets for me to work with. If you have a ‘day’ chart — meaning you were born after sunrise and before sunset — Jupiter is an ideal planetary partner. If you’d like to learn more about this, drop a note in my DMs! I’d be happy to share some tips or create a follow-up post on this.

Saturday

Ruled by: Saturn

Energetic Themes: Discipline, focus, responsibility, mastery, planning, delayed success

Saturn brings focus and commitment to your pursuits. Saturdays carry an energy of structure and contemplation, ideal for: creating structure and routine, future planning, starting or working on long-term projects, and reviewing business plans.

I don’t always work on Saturdays, but as a Saturn-ruled person, I love tapping into this energy when I want to focus on long-term success rather than quick wins.

Sample Weekly Schedule

Now that you understand the planetary energies, here’s a starter schedule that you can experiment with and customize for your energy patterns:

1. Visualize Your Week on Sunday

Start your week by tapping into the Sun’s energy. Take some time each Sunday to reflect on your goals and set clear intentions for the week ahead. Whether it’s personal growth, career advancement, or creative projects, let the Sun’s vitality and confidence guide your planning.

2. Plan and Organize on Monday

With the Moon ruling Monday, this is an ideal day to map out your week in detail. Tap into your intuition to prioritize tasks, plan your content, or organize your office space. It’s also a good day to check in with your emotional needs, practice self-care, and ensure you’re working in alignment with your inner truth.

3. Take Action on Tuesday

Mars gives you the energy to show up, compete, and get things done. Use Tuesday to tackle your most demanding tasks, take decisive action, and be physically active. Whether it’s a challenging project or a difficult conversation, Mars provides courage and drive to push through obstacles.

4. Communicate and Teach on Wednesday

Wednesday’s Mercurial energy is perfect for communication, learning, and intellectual pursuits. Conduct client calls and workshops, catch up on emails, or dive into learning something new. If you need to articulate ideas with precision or batch a week of content, Wednesday is your day.

5. Strategize and Grow on Thursday

Jupiter energy is all about expansion, prosperity, and wisdom. Use this day for big-picture thinking, strategic planning, or exploring new opportunities to teach, collaborate, and connect. It’s a great day to network, collaborate, develop offers, plan launches, and take steps toward your long-term goals.

6. Nurture Relationships and Creativity on Friday

Venus brings themes of beauty, connection, creativity, art, and values, making Friday an ideal day to engage your community, complete CEO tasks, or simply enjoy life’s pleasures. It’s a supported time to bring harmony into your work or personal life by resolving conflicts or establishing new connections, and it’s also a good day to make financial moves and investment decisions.

7. Organize and Reflect on Saturday

Saturn’s disciplined energy makes Saturday ideal for tasks that require focus and organization. Whether it’s cleaning, budgeting, or scoping out a long-term project, use this day to bring supportive structure to your life. Saturn delays, but he never denies – tap into this energy to work on projects and ideas where you want to see long-term success and are willing to put the work in to see it through.

Integrating with Your Human Design

Your Human Design adds another layer of personalization to this framework:

  • Generators and Manifesting Generators: Pay attention to which daily activities engage your energy and lead to satisfaction. These are your “sacral yes” activities that should take priority, regardless of the day.
  • Projectors: Honor your need for rest by scheduling focused work during your high-energy windows and building in ample recovery time.
  • Manifestors: Use your natural initiative to set energy in motion at the beginning of each day or week, then allow space for that energy to unfold.
  • Reflectors: Your energy is tied to the lunar cycle, so pay special attention to how the moon’s phase affects your alignment with each day’s energy.

Success Tips

  • Listen to Your Authority: While these planetary energies provide a general guide, always trust your authority and let it guide your decisions. Experiment with your tasks and project focus for each day, then reflect or journal on what you notice.
  • Integrate Your Astrology + Human Design: You may find it helpful to review your personal energetic placements to successfully apply this knowledge (I help with this in my 1:1 readings!)
  • Reflect Weekly: Experiment with your tasks and project focus for each day, then reflect or journal on what you notice. At the end of the week, review how the planetary energies influenced your productivity so you can fine-tune as you go.

Final Thoughts

Working with planetary energy has transformed the way I plan, work, and launch in my business, and it’s created big shifts for my clients (many of whom are neurodivergent creatives who need super individualized workflows and schedules).

A key part of this is letting your individual experience guide you and making adjustments as needed. We never want to approach our business from a purely mental perspective, because we can easily get distracted trying to do things the perceived ‘right way’ instead of discovering our personal ‘right way.’

For example: as a Scorpio Moon in the 10th house of ambition, career, and vocation, I’ve found that Mondays are ideal for connecting with the spirit of my business, visualizing and planning projects and upcoming launches, and checking in with myself to ensure I’m working in alignment with my emotional truth (a non-negotiable as a Generator with Emotional Authority).

For some of my clients, Monday is a sacred day to be offline and tend to their emotional needs. They often meditate, journal, spend time in nature, and stay offline entirely before hitting the ground running with a fully-charged battery on Tuesday morning.

As a Saturn-ruled Capricorn Rising, I’ve found that Saturday mornings are a super-charged time for me to review actions taken during the week, gather insights, and make adjustments to my plans so I’m building for LONG-term success.

For some of my clients, Saturday is for active fun and pleasure – they have no desire to review their business when they’d rather be relaxing and hanging out with loved ones (and they find that Fridays are a much better fit for their CEO tasks and future planning).
